This is one of the books from the Wiki Danser series and the first that I have read. Wiki arrives in Dent in the middle of a snow storm and consequently crashes into an car accident on the road, and kills the sheriff. And she really doesn't seem to care. A local decides that now is the time to enact revenge on the people he believes have hurt him and so the shooting begins.
They was really nothing to hold my interest - the writing style, the story or the characters. With no inclination to read another from the series. I gave it two stars because I finished it.… (mere)

This book was provided to me as an ARC in exchange for an honest, unbiased review. The book begins slowly but then it takes off like a jet plane! The author writes with great emphasis on the oddities and horrific propensities of the main character that keeps you turning the pages to see what else can possibly be revealed. The length of the book was perfect. I enjoyed reading this author's work for the first time.

This book was a struggle to get through. The dialogue was awkward and repetitive and the plot was disjointed and confusing. I feel that the author tried to employ shock value to keep interest in the book. The attempts to shock us with violence and depravity are actions and characters that are irrelevant to the story. The first half of the book sets up Fatima and their studio as a villain only to kill them off and have the Collector be the actual villain. This book was a jarring and bumpy ride.

As I received a free copy of this book from the Early Reviewers program, I have to write a review here. I find myself struggling to do so, since I have absolutely no idea how I feel about the book and if I understood it. The story was vague, the writing was vague, the setting was vague (are we in 'our' world or is this some alternative universe). Luckily, the book was a short read, so I finished it quite quickly, but I don't really know what I've read and how to feel about it other than confused.… (mere)
