Kort biografi
Claudia Taylor acquired the nickname "Lady Bird" in infancy and was always known by it for the rest of her life. She married Lyndon Baines Johnson in 1934 and the couple had two daughters who were each given names with the initials LBJ. She promoted the Highway Beautification Act and Head Start while she was First Lady.

Not particularly useful as a field guide because of its bulkiness, and not particularly useful because of the paucity of plants covered. It is, however, very beautifully designed and arranged.

An extraordinary inside look of a White House under siege during the Vietnam era presented by a woman who finely balanced the demands of an exacting husband , two daughters at a difficult age, and the public responsibilities of a First Lady.… (mere)

This is a beautiful book, and I was fortunate enough to have Lady Bird autograph it for me.
She is as gracious as she is portrayed. Of course, we, here in Texas, got more exposure to her than some others.
