A Book of Book Lists af Alex Johnson
This is a book of lists related to books and reading. So we get the list of books found in Osama Bin Ladens compound, the list of books on the Space Station, books burnt by the Nazis etc. Its a mix of the interesting and dull.
It was fun to meander through, but was not as interesting as I had hoped.
Loved it. Gorgeous illustrations, crisp text, interesting anecdotes.
This is an interesting look at how and where famous authors like to write. Quite a few of them preferred to write in bed and way ahead of their time, some wrote standing at a desk! Surprisingly there are no photos, however James Oses has done a brilliant job of illustrating the pages with colourful artwork and I found this rather a nice change. Something else I found interesting - many of the authors lived quite short lives, bit sad when you think about the books they might have written! Any book lover will enjoy this coffee table sized book which reads like a book of short stories.… (mere)
