H.L. Hussmann

Letters from a Martyred Christian by H.L. Hussmann is a book of letters from a martyr, Aulus Aurelius. It is written as fiction and the author makes sure to state in the beginning that this is so and he used creative liberty with the pictures of heaven and such. Aulus starts with his own story of his martyrdom and then each letter is a lesson taken from different stories. It was a very enjoyable read although there were some ideas that I didn't totally agree with. One of them being the idea that in order for God to do some things we have to pray other wise God won't do it. God is sovereign and what He wants and wills to do will happen no matter what. That really bothered me. Overall though it is a pretty good book.
