This book is a nice telling of why the curse came about for the cubs and caused their hundred-year-long losing streak. Growing up in Illinois and knowing this curse existed but not knowing why or how it came about was weird to me and to this day I think this curse is still odd.
A bar owner finds a goat and claims him as his pet and names him murphy. The goat and the bar owner did everything together and one day the bar owner wanted to take his goat to a cubs game while they were in the world series. For each letter, they had something that went with the letter like a fun fact or additional information that the author felt we need to know. The additional information retained what the letter was about like "D" had to with defense so the additional information was about defensive lineman.… (mere)
