This story follows the journey of a blind child asking different people and things what color the wind is. They all give varying answers and by the end the reader realizes that everyone’s interpretation is different and that in the end we are all right. Everyone knows equally much about the color of the wind; the answer lies within the person answering the question. This is by far one of the coolest books I have ever read from the colorful and lively illustrations to the tactile element of the pages. In this book, a blind boy wants to know what color the wind is. He gets a different answer from everyone he asks. I read this book to my little sister. She is 5 years old. I asked her at the end, " So Hayden, What color is the wind?" She replied, "every color!" Her answer surprised me because in the beginning of the book she said the wind was clear. This book changed her whole perspective of the wind and it took me by surprise. I think the wind is the color of what you feel. The wind may be a dark blue if you are feeling sad. it may be a vibrant yellow on a beautiful day but it has no true color. My little sister now thinks that it is every color.… (mere)
