- Harper's formal education is in the area of ancient Near Eastern languages. He received the Bachelor of Arts degree in Classical Greek in 1972 from William Jennings Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee; the Master of Arts degree in Old Testament studies (Biblical Hebrew) in 1974 from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Deerfield, Illinois; and the Ph.D. Candidate degree in Near Eastern Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1980.
In 1980, Harper began working full-time doing biblical research and writing under the auspices of his own private research endeavor--The Elijah Project. He is currently engaged in producing his own "standardized" translation of the Scriptures, which he plans to make available only on Amazon.

I am so thankful for the insight that is provided in this book, The Antichrist. If you are a True Believer who is searching for the Truth regarding the End Times, this is a great place to begin! Learn what The Early Church Fathers, Irenaues and Hippolytus, knew to be the Truth regarding the coming of the Antichrist. Here is something to think about: Jesus Christ taugh The Teaching to His disciples, of which one of these was the Apostle John. The Apostle John carefully taught his disciple, Polycarp, who in turn taught Irenaeus, and Irenaeus taught Hippolytus; therefore, these two Early Church Fathers, Irenaeus and Hippolytus, were only a relative few years removed from The Teaching that Jesus Christ taught. Now?At this time? The Church is close to two thousand years removed from the Truth that was supposed to be v e r y c a r e f u l l y handed down.… (mere)
I enjoyed reading Larry's description of his very harrowing stint as an Army infantry "grunt" during the Vietnam war as he "walked point," and the lessons the Lord taught him during this time through his own actions and the actions of others. I also appreciate Larry's description of the education he went through that enabled him to learn what he needed to learn in order to understand the historic languages of the Bible as well as the different cultural settings in which the Bible was written. I am thankful to be the recipient of the fruit of such labor and to be learning The Teaching Larry is restoring. I am also looking forward to Larry's completion of his translation of the entire Bible: Harper's Standardized Study Bible HSSB… (mere)
This book is a wonderful confirmation on how God calls someone and leads them through life. I saw my own life as I read some of Larry Harper experiences. I recommend this book to any one truly interested in Truth.
I love knowing who the True Israel of the Scriptures is. The Old Testament and The New Testament come together in The Teaching that was both understood and then carefully handed down by the Early Church Fathers. And it makes sense. Read this book and learn Who the Israel of God is. Read what Larry hss written about it, paying close attention to the Scripture verses he presents as evidence. This is really vital information to have an accurate understanding of!
