Secrets of Backyard Bird Photography is a book helpful to beginners and experts. It gives you tips on how to get a better shot. For example, it explains how to set up an area with a good background, and talks about what type of feed is best for what birds. It also mentions how to adjust your light with reflectors. It's chock full of useful information. The author includes recipes for making suet, how to make a stand, or a blind even. At the beginning of the book there are a couple pages showing the best equipment to use. You can get a sturdy tripod, or in a pinch, you can use anything from a beanbag, to a balled up sweatshirt!

I really like this book. It has helped me out a lot as a beginning photographer. I have a ton of new ideas to try out now! I appreciate the pictures of the different bird feeders, or the blinds, or DIY options. These help me picture how you would use these items. It also tells you what settings to set your camera on to get the best photo. How to adjust your ISO, aperture, shutter speed, etc. This book covers everything you need to know, from attracting the birds, and shooting them, to editing and showing your pictures.… (mere)
