Thor Hall shows that the particularity and exclusiveness of the incarnation doctrine cannot be defended. [124] While some Christians may find it "difficult" to accept what appears to them to be the "relativization of the incarnation event", Hall calls upon Christians to universalize the Christ, and recognize the dynamic quality of the divine spirit, affirming the universal validity. Spiritualization is not an exclusive property. Human spirituality should not be condemned as a parochial synergism or presumption of self-salvation. All spirituality is essentially related to the activity of God, not merely humans attempting to ennoble themselves.
