This wasn't bad. Oakley started out really disgusting. And I had no idea why Amanda was so drawn to him. Amanda is a reformed wild child. Her antics went too far at her previous school and she left in shame. She gets to UT Austin and decides she wants a new start and to fast track her education to work as a publicist at her father's music company. She ends up getting stuck working for the school's star football player who has a terrible lecherous womanizing reputation. And a reputation for showing off his junk on IG. Needless to say, Amanda has her work cut out of her. Her grades and graduation depend on being able to tame him.

And tame him, she does. Because Oakley turns out to be not such a bad guy. And once he gets to know Amanda and what she's facing, he almost instantly switches to a caring mode and becomes a really good person to her. The two still have hurdles to face, especially when her past comes back to haunt her, but in the end, they turn out to be a great couple. Oakley turns out to be a great guy. He surprised me.… (mere)

holy deceit filled story. I thought I had this all figured out several times in the story and I was wrong every time. The way that this book ended floored me. that was NOT what I was expecting.

This book had strong characters and a mystery surrounding the death of Violet. I enjoyed watching these characters as they got to know each other better and tried to find out what really happened. I like who Breezy ended up with, especially, as I was hoping initially that it would go to the other guy. However, who she ended up with was perfect. Loved the connection they all shared at the end.

I did have moments that confused me. I would have liked them fleshed out more. Especially, after the whopper of an epilogue. The authors mentioned that there was more to this mystery, so I am hoping that will be explained in the new book. Still a good book. This author duo is one of the best when it comes to collaborations. Highly recommend them.… (mere)
