An Emmy Award-winning writer and producer, she has produced television for ABC, NBC, A&E, The History Channel, The Biography Channel, Lifetime, and ESPN. She has served as a commentator on NPR, ABC, CBS, NBC, CTV, and CBC. She is the director of a short film, "Dora" (2001) and has worked on both independent and PBS feature films. She holds a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard and previously worked as a domestic policy analyst at RAND.
The Second Mark, her first book, was a New York Times Notable Book and one of Sports Illustrated's Ten Best Books of the Year. She lives in New York City with her husband.
