I picked up this book largely because I absolutely love Maria’s husband Bob Goff and his writing. I liked Maria’s authenticity in telling about the hardest bits of her life. Her story reminds us that everyone offers love in their own way - and that’s a big reason why the world needs us all.

This brought out Maria's fears for her family's safety which she dealt with by praying and feeling peace come over her. She finds Bob's boundless energy sometimes annoying and when he flies off to work on humanitarian causes she worries. The burning of the lodge brings out childhood insecurities that she gets counseling for and that help bring closure to them and the loss of the lodge.… (mere)
