I was born in Augusta, Gerogia so this cookbook is as familar as anything. Like most Junior League cookbooks of the era, the recipes are largely geared to entertaining and special occasions although the use of canned and frozen foods is alarming, but could easily be adapted by a more contemporary, health conscious cook.
