Theo, lord I wanted to hate you, wanted to slap you, then I found myself falling for your weird kind of charm and loving you all at the same time. This author wrote one amazing jerk who made the heroines life a living hell. The twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat the whole time wanting to see if Theo would switch gears and finally become a little less of a jerk or if Abigail would stop being a train wreck. I did feel so bad for Abigail, yes she was the black sheep of her family and yes she acted out and did things she shouldn’t have, but her family were all kinds of messed up and pompous jerks that treated her horribly. So, when Theo started treating her awful I was like dang this chick needs a break, Theo and Abigail had a hate/love and all of these things happen for a reason, but it was still so hard to watch it unfold. I knew it was a great read when I wanted to throw the book and then gentle caress it, my emotions were everywhere. I don’t want to give too much away but you love having a hero that is a complete jerk, yet you love him anyways this is your story. It’s beautiful, tragic, heartbreaking, and amazing. Holy book hangover!! I knew from the previous book that going into this one I would be wrecked but I just didn’t anticipate how accurate or how hard I was shook. The author is an evil genius who had my heart in palpitations the whole book and me screaming at my kindle one second and hugging it the next, but omg it was so good. I never thought I’d say this but this book was so well written that I never thought I’d enjoy being destroyed just to be put back together again. There were so many twists and turns I never saw coming and some I did but I wasn’t prepared for Gray to ruin me for all others. I know this is a vague review but trust me you do NOT want anyone to spoil it because you will love every second of reading it. Bravo to the author because she has a way with words and story telling that are so unique and I love to devour them.… (mere)

I was nervous going into this last book of Grayson and Story not because I had doubts on if it would be good or not, I knew it would be epic but I also knew it wasn’t going to be an easy road for them or us readers. As I sat down and devoured this book in one night I had to take a moment to gather my thoughts and emotions, again not because I didn’t like it, no it was because this book put me through the ringer with anticipation, curiosity of what would happen next, and trying to put myself in the character’s shoes. Story is trying to protect and help Grayson out by sacrificing herself so that he doesn’t lose anything that makes him who he is, but by doing so she is now in the clutches of someone she can’t trust and in situations she isn’t sure she will ever get out of. Their story seems like it will be a tragedy and I guess in some ways it is, but we hope for the best and what we get as readers is a journey of two souls that belong together and odds are stacked against them, yet through hopeless days and secretive nights they still cling to hope that the future will look brighter. I know this is vague but trust me the emotions I felt while reading not just this book but the whole series was well worth it because it is made to be felt and not explained. The story does pickup where the last left us and we follow not only the main characters but a few others journey on how they can overcome the odds, stand up for what they want, and hope for the best. There were a few times I wanted Story to just run back to Grayson and them set off in the sun but I knew that could never happen and there were times I was like “Grayson dude stop rubbing your lip with your pinky and do something!” I went through almost every emotion anyone can think of and that’s when I realized that this was an epic journey that not only the characters live through but also us readers and it’s amazing how an author can bring it all to life for us.… (mere)

This book shattered me, it took my heart and soul put it in a blender then gathered it all up and tried to piece it together again just to throw it against the wall. Sounds dramatic right?! Well seriously this book messed with my feelings so hard that if I had written a review immediately after reading it there would be a insane amount of f bombs throughout this review, so after some time to process this read I can honestly say that it is such a great read but be prepared for some intense emotions that you may trouble dealing with. This book follows Grayson Crowne the arrogant rich playboy who takes no crap from no one and everyone does everything he says but they stay out of his way. Story is a servant that has worked for the Crowne family for years and one day she makes a mistake and steals a kiss that is not meant for her and this becomes the begin of her downfall. Grayson thinks that Story has ruined everything he has worked for since she learns some of his secrets and ruined his chance with the love of his life, so he is set out to make her pay. Grayson is cruel, unkind, and a huge tormentor to Story but through all his acts of hate we start to see the real Grayson that he hides within. This is the Grayson that I fell in love with along with Story. These two are enemies that become lovers, and somehow then become stolen soulmates but life and other things have different plans. I seriously loved this book even if I cussed Grayson and his family so much. I loved this unique story and how we are left wondering what if and I may have been angry at the end, but I am desperately dying to know how we go from here. If things are set in stone and he is truly the heir of society and his path can’t be changed and Story is the always ignored servant that society looks down on how will they make it through?????
The angst is tangible, the hurt is real, and the what the ____ is swimming in my head. This author took me for one heck of a ride, and I can’t wait for more.
