I usually like books set in upper class New York, but not this one (received from NetGalley). Julia is a young psychiatrist from a wealthy family (who live in the title address), who suffered past abuse that prevents her from having healthy relationships. The abuser is back to stalk her (even after she relocates to the southwest), and he is downright creepy. Tense, violent and generally unpleasant.

Sutton Place by Louise Gaylord is a story of Julia Fairchild is a clinical psychologist who has some serious issues resulting from an incident in her past. An incident that has caused some memories of being assaulted to resurface. She comes from a wealthy family with loving parents and sister. She finds herself attracted to a fellow physician and they go away for what she thinks is an idyllic weekend that turns into a disaster when some memories resurface. During this time she thinks that she is being stalked so after this disastrous weekend she decides it is time for her to start over somewhere new. She moves to New Mexico where she gets a new job, new condo, and new friends. But evil lurks in the form of her stalker and he will stop at nothing to make Julia his. This suspenseful story shows a family that is almost crippled by it's secrets. Not everything is as the family thinks and they find that secrets will cause a lot of serious issues. The Fairchild family suffers a lot of loss and if the deranged stalker has his way there will be more. A definite page turner that is not to be missed. I enjoyed this book a lot and I intend to read more of this authors work.

I received a copy of this book for review and was not monetarily compensated for my review.

Family secrets, scandals, seduction and an obsessed stalker .... thriller fans, boy do I have a riveting book for you!

In her latest novel, Sutton Place, author Louise Gaylord weaves a fast paced gripping tale of family secrets, lies, scandals and betrayals, with enough suspenseful twists and turns that keeps the reader turning the pages and guessing what will happen next.

The story follows the unraveling of the wealthy New York Fairchild family as their scandalous past begins to surface. When Lucia and Ian Fairchild's deeply held secret of the true parentage of their daughters Julia and Ariel is revealed, the devastating repercussions from the family secrets and betrayals has their lives spinning wildly out of control, and if that isn't enough, an obsessed stalker is terrorizing an already fragile Julia.

From the very beginning, Sutton Place takes the reader on a riveting thrill ride filled with suspense and family drama as the Fairchild family's checkered lives unfold. You can't help but get drawn into this tale with its strong intriguing characters and a richly detailed and descriptive storyline. While the storyline's focus mainly is on Julia Fairchild, I found it fascinating as the author cleverly interweaves the deep family secrets of her parents and sister Ariel as well. The depth of the family scandals and betrayal of trust, in addition to the seductive obsession of a sociopath is frightening. You can't help but feel the tension as their story unfolds, it takes you out of your comfort zone and leaves you to wonder how can anyone recover from such devastating events in their lives.

Sutton Place is the kind of book that fans of mystery thrillers relish, it is a book that is simply very hard to put down.

Sutton Place by Louise Gaylord
Julia is a doctor and it's her birthday. Her sister Ariel is now stateside and they meet for a lunch, but Ariel is 40 mins late.
The owner of the restaurant comes to Areils rescue and gets them a table in the crowded business. Ariel and her companion is more interested in Julia than Ariel.
Julia lives in a wing on the third floor of the mansion called Sutton place and she's decorate it to her wants. Story goes back in time when Julia did find out about her real father...
Julia feels somebody is stalking her and with the heavy breathing phone calls she gets nauseous.
Ariel's job has led to entertaining many men. She loves the money and the things it can buy.
Very detailed descriptions of the meeting Julia' mother met when she was getting her divorce in Mexico.
David and Rachel are together on a plan but Julia doesn't even see David and his advances.
This is all starting to get a bit scary with talk of drugs and making one semi conscious and deaths.
Julia leaves the practice and her life in NY for one in the South and I loved learning about her new surroundings. Hated to hear maybe others are still stalking her...
Julia still had to find out about her her birth father...
This book did take me out of my comfort zone...
I received this book from Netgalley via JKSCommunications in exchange for my honest review.
