A good title for this book but I found the story derivative and uninspiring. It would work best for children with little exposure to the fantasy genre. I did not totally hate the story - it could be worth reading if you want something light hearted, with elves who act pretty much like humans and all kinds of other magics and magical creatures on a quest that ends in self discovery.

The dialogue was sometimes stilted, and the plot twists are a little obvious - but again, for children it could be a good fun read.… (mere)
