This book as taught me that Tan France and I have irreconcilable differences: mainly I think Olive Garden is a national treasure. Anyway, enjoyable memoir peppered with some strong style opinions. Expected nothing less from Tan!
Some interesting stories but the it was made remarkable by Alexandra Billings' story.

It was an enjoyable read that was almost like listening to him tell the stories. It was a bit disjointed - there's no single story tying it all together and the wardrobe chapter topics almost work.

Tan is my favorite of the Fab 5 of Netflix's Queer Eye reboot, not just for South Asian rep but also for encouraging people to show respect for themselves and their loved ones through looking and feeling good, not just chasing trends. Turns out he's also a very sweet British boy, and very conscious about how his actions represent not just himself but also queer and brown communities on screen.
It's also interesting seeing how he was cast for Queer Eye (or the process in general, really) and that his decision to go was really about making other gay friends because SLC is ah, not a very big scene.… (mere)
