NCLA Review -The Mommy Diaries is a compilation by forty-six Christian authors. Each recounts an experience they had as a mother which was painful at the time, but which taught a valuable life lesson. Many of the writers are familiar as professional working women, so to meet them as “mommies” with problems similar to our own is quite refreshing and inspiring. We all struggle with unrealistic expectations of ourselves as mothers. These stories help put our lives in perspective. The underlying theme is that God has been present with each of these women, if only they would reach out through prayer and find their way towards fulfillment.
