This book explains how Benjamin Franklin started working for his family's soap and candle shop, to being the one of the most important people in early American history. The story tells about Bens journeys to different colonies and different parts of the world to work for different printing presses. This eventually led him to having his own press. He also created the first fire station and created electricity. The book also tells of he became famous through his inventions and how he was a major asset in American history.

Personal Views: I think that this book is very informative. It not only teaches children about the Benjamin Franklins life, it also gives children insight on the different inventions that were being discovered at the time.

1. Try and have the students brainstorm different ways of creating electricity
2.Take vocabulary from the book.

This is a collection of fables or stories that use animals with human characteristics. These stories depict how human life and the way we should behave and act. One story within this collection is the "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing." The story tells of a wolf trying to find an easier way to get his food, so he kills a sheep, takes his hide and mingles with the sheep. However, it was his lucky day, the farmer wanted lamb for supper and shot the wolf.

The story concludes with the moral as do all the stories in this collection.

This would be a good collection for older elementary children to help establish good morals.
