Should be in all.....

Middle school and high school libraries. The last two books I have read by Ms. Farnham containing subjects that no one seems to want to talk about, but these are subjects that people need to talk about and need to open their eyes up to these problems that are going on around them. We cannot just sweep these sore subjects under the carpets and expect them to go away. And in her last two books I have read, she brings the subjects out in the open and on the table like no other author I have ever read. This book is about bulimia, and this is Katie's story. I recommend this book to all middle-grade and young adults.… (mere)

Spin by K.J. Farnham is a story about the subject that no one wants to talk about, sexual abuse. Jenna is a normal teenager so it seems to her family and friends until her life starts to spin out of control. This story is told by multiple points of view, and it goes from before Jenna's disappearance after Jenna's disappearance. It was a hard book to read in some parts of it but it was also an eye-opener as well. This is my first time reading this author and I enjoyed her work very much, this particular book grabbed me from the very first chapter to the very last chapter, I was hooked. Me. Farnham is now on my favorite author's list.… (mere)

An interesting read that kept me gripped all the way through. Jumping between several points of view can be tiring, but each one added something new to the narrative and had me waiting for other characters to learn what one already did.

This book was filled with strong topics if bullying and eatting disorders. There were parts of the story where I cried a lot.

The main character Katie just wants to fit in and become friends with the OH girls (I think this is what is called). But in her home, she is faced with her nagging, criticizing mother who always complains about her weight. There is this one girl Sloan I really hate. She just wants to be the cool girl and is always mean to Katie because she got Hunter, "her crush."
There were some parts if the story where I just wanted to hug her and say that everything will be okay.
