- Kort biografi
- Elmete Press was formed by Ian O'Casey, who was also the maker of Aisling hand-made papers. The Press was located at Scarthingwell Hall, Barkston Ash, near Tadcaster, Yorkshire, England, and was active between 1973 and 1978 at least, publishing at least six limited edition books on the book arts. Another book was published at Collingham, near Weatherby, in 1988. The name 'Elmete' is an archaic spelling of 'Elmet' (English; modern Welsh, 'Elfed'), an independent 5th-7th century British kingdom centred on Leeds that survived the initial over-run of the North by the English, and seems to have survived as a unit into the 10th century, and is preseved in such placenames as Barwick in Elmet and Sherburn in Elmet.
