An amusing selection of letters sent to Shaw in his later life. This book gives a cross-section of the admiring, begging, criticizing, friendly, and unfriendly letters sent to Shaw by strangers and friends. I wish we could have had a few more of his replies.

Refers, at the end, to the memoir "And the Children Played", whose author believed for a time that Shaw was dictating plays to her from beyond the grave.
