A high quality memoir of the golden age of sportscar racing, and how Elford manged to work his way first into rally racing, and then parleyed a few flash results into a factory ride with Porsche; Porsche not even having the concept of going rallying with the 911 before Elford proposed the idea. While the man may disparage his time as an insurance salesman he obviously developed his negotiating skills somewhere!
