This story is poignant. It needs to be heard. I was astounded to learn that an estimated 100,000 people in the U.S. have RP, yet I knew nothing about it until reading this book.

For anyone who loves reading about a personal and inspirational journey, this book grabs you from the first chapter and won't let go!

I laughed out loud with Pamela's sense of humor.

I cried multiple times. As a mother, the thought of going blind when I had young children didn't even enter my mind. But when Pamela talks about trying to commit her children's faces to memory, it just ate away at my heart.

I rooted for Pamela with each effort she made to establish a career, and I mourned each setback she ran into. It's releasing during World Blindness Awareness Month. Very appropos!… (mere)
