A Mighty Rolling Thunder by Kerry Alan Denney starts out so nice…but it quickly turns into a run for her life for Livy…enter Conor, a guy with no memory…

At 17% it hit me…I have had those same thoughts. What would I do? How far would I be willing to go if the shit hit the fan? Lawlessness, fear, hunger, need desire…The Rapture…the people are gone, just vanished.

Could you imagine talking to your dog, yeah, I know you already do, but what if he really understood you…and talked back?

Victor, oh yeah, he’s the villain and he wants to rule the world and would do anything to make it happen. Power, he wants it.

Free will. Do you choose to share joy or sorrow? Hope or despair? Love or damnation?

I enjoy a desolate world with a cast of characters that must band together to survive. Throw in some magic (?), and I am in heaven. Too bad these guys weren’t, but it sure did make for a great story because of it.

I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of A Mighty Rolling Thunder by Kerry Alan Denney.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the Lovers of Paranormal group on Goodreads.

Soulsnatcher is a tale focused around a mother and her child with supernatural abilities as they have everything they've ever known get turned upside down as they're sucked into an ongoing battle between two rivaling secret groups. One group is hell-bent on the discovery and capture of children with special gifts in order to exploit them, the other seeks to protect them and create a safe refuge.

There is a diverse cast of characters, many with their own special powers and a sordid past, that make this story as intriguing as it is exciting. The characters all seem really well fleshed out and many of their interactions truly bring them to life. With all these character's tales intertwined in the vortex of struggle between the two rivaling organizations it makes for an exciting read that you can't help but get pulled into.
It had its moments that really made me cringe with how the characters acted and some other details, but it definitely didn't spoil the good parts. I thought this was a really enjoyable read.

Rich imagery and a very different plot made this book nearly impossible to put down. This is not your typical apocalypse or rapture story. is Horror Fairy-tale a genre? If so, this book MIGHT fit there. My favorite part is the dogs... and I'll not be telling you any more, so as not to spoil the story. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

What a wild ride! Marionettes is a seat-of-your-pants psychological mind bender! It operates on a wholly different level than your typical thriller, getting inside the heads of crazed hit men, innocent children, and wise muses. Every time something starts to make sense, Denney flips it on its head and changes direction. The surprise ending answers all of the reader's (and the characters') questions, and leaves you wondering...what if?
