I’m having a hard time writing a review because I’m still not sure how I feel about the book. The first part was very weird and hard to read. I didn’t get anything out of it and just about stopped reading. About halfway through it started getting better. It is certainly the strangest book I’ve read but it had some good parts. It’s hard to wrap you head about a women who turns into a tree when she dies and leaves her family odd gifts. Then the family has to deal with a lot of death and something trying to kill them. The second half is definitely better and gives you much more of an understanding about the beginning of the book.… (mere)
