Margaret Clark was born in Geelong, Victoria, Australia on August 20, 1942. She has a bachelors' degree, a Masters' degree, and a doctorate in education. She has been a primary teacher, a pre-school director, a lecturer with the faculty of education at Deakin University, and a counselor in an vis mere alcohol and drug center. She is the author of over 100 children's books. Her first book Pugwall was published in 1987 and subsequently made into a TV series, followed by Pugwall's Summer in 1989. He other works include the Aussie Angels series, Fat Chance, A Wee Walk, and Hold My Hand - Or Else. She received the White Raven award for Wally the Whiz Kid in 1993. Her first book for adults, The Femials, was published in 2005. She has also tried her hand at horror stories, using the pseudonym Lee Striker. (Bowker Author Biography) vis mindre
