Another one I remember is about CHoudhary the painter and his female muse who is a roadside urchin and how the story ends.
Reading about these themes, it is not hard to understand Ismat Chugtai was very ahead of her times. No wonder she had to undergo 'obscenity' trials. However, stories are pure gold. But note to self, next time they should be read in original language itself.… (mere)
