I thought that this was a pretty good book for my daughter and I to learn about rain forests from, primarily because of the illustrations. It is such a colorful, vibrant book that it caught my daughter's imagination and made her ask questions about what everything was. The full page pull-out of the layers was fantastic and really illustrated the differences between the layers for my daughter. The only drawback is that there's so much information that it might be overwhelming to some children. However, with a parent's careful choice of what information to present, it is a great resource.… (mere)
