John Carreyrou is an American journalist and author. He was born in New York and raised in Paris. He graduated from Duke University in 1994 with a B.A. in political science and government. He has worked for The Wall Street Journal since 1999. Currently, he is based in New York, but has worked in vis mere Brussels and Paris. He has covered a wide number of topics. He was part of a team that won a Pulitzer Prize for Explanatory Reporting, for covering corporate scandals. In 2015, he and several colleagues wrote a series of articles on fraud and Medicare, for which they won the Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Reporting.
