This story is about a father and his daughter and their journey into the United States. The daughter questions the father about where they are going but doesn't usually receive an answer. In the end they use a coyote to get over the border and start their new life. I think that this would be a good book to teach children about immigration. I think that it would be a read aloud book, so that the teacher can answer questions, as there is some symbolism of animals as people.

This book would be good for primary or intermediate grades. This book follows a little girl and her father's journey as they try to get to America. I'm not sure I would use this book specifically in my classroom, one thing to note is that knowledge of children's backgrounds is important, this might be a sensitive topic for some.
