I enjoyed reading it, especially the section on her chaplain residency at Bellevue. Some anecdotes about other parts of Breyer's first year in seminary didn't feel quite as fleshed out. I liked the nitty-gritty details about learning to become a priest.

I like this book, and in general like her attitude towards her vocation. But I do wish that during seminary she had learned the difference between the season OF Easter, and the season AFTER Pentecost.

Much better and more enjoyable read than a few of the spiritual memoirs I've read, but not ranking up there with the best either...

I don't necessarily agree with the review I read somewhere that made the author out to be very flippant and irreligious and seemingly there on a whim - is she a lot more "secular" than my own religious upbringing? Yes, but it is all very honest and she does seem to "get" why she is at seminary, so I do not agree with that review.
