While I'm not saying I didn't like the book, I will say that I expected more, due to the hype over this one. I thought the story was good, but once again I had the issue with the chick being too wishy-washy. Do you want the man or not? And several times I had to yell at a fictional character for being an idiot. She pushed him away, yet kept saying over and over how she couldn't take him leaving again. Ugh! Some bitches...

At least it wasn't a serial book, and had a real ending, which was cute. I'm definitely reading the next book, as I have a tiny crush on Devi's brother. ;)… (mere)

I went into this book not really knowing what to expect, but I was VERY pleasantly surprised. Our heroine in this tale is an incredibly strong young woman determined to make her dreams come true despite having every reason in the world to crawl into a corner and hide from the world. There are some extremely graphic scenes depicting sexual assault but they are important to their story as are the powerful emotions that those scenes create. The Hero is essentially perfect. Understanding, protective (without smothering), and very caring. This book brought me to tears on several occasions which is very rare for me to find in a book.

Plus... there are more than a few scenes where our strong heroine shows the boys up and that is always fun to read about.
