You don’t have to be sports fan to enjoy this book. It is pure delight from beginning to end. Some of the things Yogi came up make so much sense, you’ll wonder why no one said them before. No one can say it quite like Yogi did. Be sure to read the forwards; they, too, are good entertainment, as are the many pictures included with the text.

In this memoir, Yogi recounts his baseball days with candor and uses these examples to deal with life’s ups and downs. We learn about the good choices he made as well the mistakes, and what is superficial and what is really important. The advice he doles out with wit and humor turns out to good advice for young and old. A great book to own and to give as a gift.… (mere)
