Herb Belcourt

Herb Belcourt was the recipient of many awards and honours, including an honourary doctorate of laws by the University of Alberta in 2001. In 2006 he was given the National Aboriginal Achievement Award for Housing, and in 2010 was made a member of the Order of Canada, followed by the bestowing of vis mere the Queen's Jubilee medal in 2012. In 2017 he received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business Hall of Fame in Toronto, was inducted into Alberta's Business Hall of Fame, and was inducted into the Edmonton Hall of Fame.
