This was a great true crime book!

A different take on people carrying out vigilante justice against criminals as they thought they were making the world a better place by not having these criminals walk the streets. This book also has a media crime story which is a crime that was committed by a man that watched a tv crime show.

I will give a small taste of what to expect within with just a couple or so stories:

Mark Twitchell - he was known as the "Canadian Dexter" as he killed criminals and he mirrored the tv crime show "Dexter" for his pattern of committing crimes.

Michael Anthony Mullen - this man decided he would rid the world of pedophiles so he went on a crime killing spree taking out as many as he could.

Manuel Pardo, Jr. - this man wanted to kill drug dealers and he took a few of them off the streets.

All of the stories were very good and it was interesting to me because I have never heard of any of them before. The author, Ryan Becker, gives a small detailed account of each killer with their upbringing and background then tells the story of the murder sprees they all went on as they thought that justice was being served their way. Giving this one four Crime Caper stars.

Twisted True Crime!

This was a real good true crime book! I hadn't read anything by this author before but I will from now on. Very detailed information and fast paced story about serial killer Edmund Kemper.

This was a very sick and twisted individual as he would pick up hitchhikers, kidnapping them, then would kill them by decapitation and dismemberment.

He started his killing spree when he was very young and as he grew older he became a walking nightmare.

This book would be considered a short story, but the author did a fantastic job of fitting every detail of the crimes and trial into this book. Four stars for this one.

Murderers In New Jersey is an intriguing true crime story that follows the crimes of eight different murderers. The information was easy to understand. This may have been corrected by the time of publication, however, there were many grammatical errors, as well as phrases that could have been revised for clarity.

Overall, this was an interesting read. I'd recommend picking it up if you enjoy true crime.

I received an advance reader copy and I am leaving this honest review voluntarily.… (mere)

I appreciate the effort of anybody who writes a book and I was happy to receive this from the publisher as a free copy. I enjoy the true crime genre but I'm more of a "just the facts" type of reader. The authors say that they are trying to reach a larger audience by presenting a simpler text. I appreciate that, and they did a good job telling each murderer's story using a fictional narrative approach. The editor in me wanted to rearrange the text, fix a few punctuation marks, and create larger paragraphs. The many short paragraphs in the book hurt the flow of the narration. This is an interesting read for anybody who likes real crime.… (mere)
