Writer and philosophy professor Muriel Barbery was born in Casablanca, Morocco on May 28, 1969 and raised in France. She attended the École Normale Supérieure de Fontenay-Saint-Cloud from 1990 to 1993 and then taught philosophy at the Université de Bourgogne, in a lycée, and at the Saint-Lô vis mere IUFM. Barbery has published the bestselling novels L'Élégance du hérisson (The Elegance of the Hedgehog) and Une Gourmandise (Gourmet Rhapsody). - Muriel Barbery was born in Morocco and raised in France. She studied at the Lycée Lakanal and in 1993, obtained her agrégation in philosophy from the École Normale Supérieure de Fontenay-Saint-Cloud. She has taught philosophy at the Université de Bourgogne, the Saint-Lô IUFM, a teacher training college, and also at a lycée.

I can see why a lot of people wouldn't like it. I wouldn't recommend it for everyone, but anyone who likes to journey into the different ways that people think or interpret the world around them should read this book.
