- Peter Armstrong was born and grew up in London. Following a training in dance, he developed his interest in Mediterranean culture in the 1980s, studying Italian at Reading University, as an undergraduate and postgraduate. Peter has had a career in teaching, artist management and charity administration. He currently lives in Brixton, South London. (from back cover of The Heretic Pilgrim)
