Great Book! I really enjoyed this book. The attention to detail that Irina Argo puts into it is superb! the different species of people and their back story was amazing and I really loved the artful way this book flowed, like species on a canvas, flowing from red to blues to blacks and back again.

there were many characters and I found it a little hard to keep track of them all but Simone and her sister I think were my favourite of the characters. Sisters are a fragile relationship to begin with and many things can rock that especially when starting out in a new sister shared bond like these two.

I thought the inner working of the court system were fascinating as well as the brotherhood Legion. The court working were very brutal and very gladiator like but at the same time they had some Compassion and you got to see the softer side of some of the creatures.

Antar and his brotherhood of Tyr Legion were amazing and incredible! warriors who would give up their lives to protect and die for others is a truly inspired thing.

Irina Argo are great authors and hope to read more of there books soon!

Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION's Pack Alpha - Michelle L. Olson:

Prophecy, the debut novel of the VAMPIRE ELITE series, was a good read; an interesting mix of vampire lore and Egyptian Mythology. While a lot of the generalities were what we've come to know and love in Paranormal Romance, it had several refreshing spins, the characters were great, and the story was captivating.

The basis of the tale centers around 2 races created by the Gods - the Sehkmet (vampires), and Amiti (gifted humans originally created to be soul mates and food source for the vampires). Unfortunately there was some scorn involved with the creation of the Amiti. This created loopholes in the cohesion of the 2 races, allowing the Amiti power over the vampires which ultimately ended up making the vampires paranoid and forcing the Amiti into slavery over the centuries.

Our main characters are Simone (the half-blood daughter of the vampire king Tor and the former Amiti Queen Istara), Istara's other daughter Arianna (the new and future Queen of the Amiti,) and their twisted & overlapping tales full of danger, drama, betrayal, romance & surprise. Along with these two, there are countless other supporting cast, including some sexy winged demons that I found fascinating. :) I highly suggest reading through the Glossary in the book before diving in, because there are many terms and associations that can become confusing throughout the book without a little help.

Constructive criticism note: While the book was very good, I personally felt like it might have been better to split it into a debut novel and a sequel. There was just a lot happening in the 530+ pages, and while it definitely keeps your interest as a reader, it did get a bit confusing at times as things started to compound and characters started to overlap.

My other note, more for readers than the authors... the ending is a major cliff hanger so be prepared. After the investment in the length of the novel and the tale itself, the ending was not the most reader friendly. It did make want the next book immediately though!! ;-)

If you're a vampire fan, enjoy tales with a mythological undertone, and are looking for a sexy fantasy story with a bit of a dark edge, then Prophecy is a good bet for you. It's an amazing bargain as well!

Vampire Elite was a vampire novel like no other. Definitely not for teens, as there are some steamy scenes, but for any adult who enjoys vampire stories, this one is a hit!

So, I may not be the norm... but I don't typically enjoy these new vampire books. Vampire Elite is a refreshing take on the whole vampire genre. No pretty boy, sparkly vampires here... but hunky and strong.

This book draws you in from the first page as the rich history of the vampire's creation, action packed and unexpected twists - you never know where the story will take you next.

Vampire Elite offers so much more than Twilight ever could, and is much less sex-filled than a Sookie Stackhouse novel. A very sophisticated story that offers intense characters, with a plot that truly keeps you guessing.

I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Readers’ Favorite reviewers on Vampire Elite:

You’ve managed to restore my hope in the future of vampire books ...

… a spellbinding novel of action, suspense, romance, and conscience ... character development is superb ... the type of book that will make you read all day until you get to the end! It is deliciously addictive!

RF reviewer Lit Amri

I found that Argo’s version of vampires is extremely refreshing. The prologue was brilliantly written. It is concise and interesting in telling the history of the vampires as well as the Amiti, using Egyptian myths as their basis. The characters are strong, complex and believable. Overall, this was a fascinating read and definitely a book for anyone who loves fantasy, romance and of course vampires.

Readers' Favorite, Reviewed by Dianna Skowera

“The Vampire Elite” by Irina Argo is a suspenseful, dramatic, and biographical tale of two classes of elite beings that have been engaged in a millennia-long conflict. Arianna is the queen of the Amiti race, nurturing and wise beings that can evoke the hidden compassionate qualities Sekhmi, or vampires, instinctively hide. The Amiti were cursed in their genetic fabric from their creation for two specific abilities: the power to kill Sekhmi they have bonded with and the need for Sekhmi to drink their blood for survival. Living in constant fear of domination by the Amiti, long ago the Sekhmi decided it best to hunt down and imprison the Amiti race in order to harvest their blood without retribution. As the new Amiti queen, Arianna, comes into her powers she is threatened from every end of the globe by people who wish to manipulate her role for their own benefit. How will two races that are essentially perfect for fulfilling each other’s needs, yet ingrained to fear each other, survive the tumult that their history has led them to? Passion, trust, deceit, injustice, compassion - this book torments your emotions with every chapter.

“The Vampire Elite” serves as a clear example of how our modern cultural conflicts have become so irresolute. Irina Argo builds a steady momentum in unfolding the complex, but compelling history and the world of her immortal races. Starting on page one may make five hundred pages seem like an uphill battle to get through, but at the end you scream, ‘Where’s the second book?!’ The erotic weaknesses of Argo’s immortals raise suspense to a new level, giving hormonal unpredictability to their actions. Irina Argo’s characters are fascinating and the conflict engages you to see them through to the end. Don’t waste a month’s salary on popcorn and theater tickets when a book like “Vampire Elite” can whisk you away like a magical passport. Be warned, if you read this, you’ll be longing for the next installments!
