The Slave (Free Men, #1)
I thought that I was going to read a typical slave story. Instead, I was pulled into a terrific story where slaves are treated like people and not abused. Master was an excellent character, demanding yet patient and caring. Tam annoyed me at times with his whining but it was understandable. I saw Kai as almost an equal to the Master in private. His character grew a lot once he learned that Master was not going to mistreat him. Kai was my favorite character. Set against the background of a war this story gives it all. Good world building and character development. The only turn off for me is that it ended on a cliffhanger.… (mere)
This is a well-written Master and Slaves romance. Great world-building. Interesting characters. Erotica was emotional as well as steamy and included a riveting plot. Ticked all my boxes.
This was a sweet story of friends reunited. One is in love with the other when the other is in a relationship. It was sweet and I didn't feel any guilt about them ending up together because the boyfriend was a real jerk. Very cute.
