Karen Marie Moning is one of my favorite romance writers. This series is what opened me up to time travel and the idea of paranormal romance. It's probably because of this that is holds such a special place in my heart. I have read and reread this series countless times and still am never disappointed. ( )

I've read four of the books in this series so far (a little out of order, I confess) and this is my least favorite. Of course the usual suspension of disbelief must apply. And don't get me wrong - the sex scenes are plenty hot and the Highlander series as a whole is just a lot of fun. But in this one...meh, I didn't care for either the hero or the heroine and the ending in this one was just TOO tidy. This book was really entertaining, at times poignant in which I had tears in my eyes, and other times the sexual tension between them was hot and their ultimate connection was everything the reader has been hoping for.

a light timetravel read; great story and tension between the characters; however, hero wasnt tortured enought...but will read more from the author ( )
