A wordless picture book presents a series of scenes, each one from farther away, showing, for example, a girl playing with toys which is actually a picture on a magazine cover, which is part of a sign on a bus, and so on.

I believe this book can be in any grade level classroom. The pages don't have words just pictures. The first page of this book shows an image and as you turn the page the image gets further and further out revealing something else. I think younger grades would have fun looking at this book getting their curiosity flowing. This would be a useful book to have in a reading corner in a classroom for students to pick when there's an opportunity. I imagine students looking at this book together trying to figure out what is on the next page. ( )

This book is great for students at an intermediate level. The book starts with very zoomed-in frames, and they zoom out page after page, showing different perspectives. I would love to have this book in my classroom because I believe that it will be fun for students to guess what will be shown on the next page. ( )

Even though this book doesn't have words, I absolutely loved the images that take you through world that Istvan Banyai created. I think that this "read" would be great for early elementary aged students! I think the way to read this book would be to ask the kids what they notice in the pictures and what they think the next image will be!

interesting children's book about perception, perspective, and seeing the whole picture ( )

This book features a chicken, as we flip the pages the chicken gets farther and farther from the frame hence the title "Zoom" with each page we are zooming out of the chicken. I think this book would specifically be used when showing/teaching art or photography. I personally think this book isn't targeted towards an age group, so this can be used for both primary or intermediate students. ( )
