Salonistas,
Join me in giving a wild round of virtual applause to Solla - published poet, and undoubtedly in the not-too-distant future, a beloved LT author (no pressure Solla, no pressure) - in her recent arrival at 1,000 books! I believe her thousandth was
Patterns of Culture. And while you're congratulating her on making it to four figures, check out her two recent reviews on some pretty obscure, though worthwhile novels.
And Enrique's 3500th book would be
Princess Protection Program - the touchstone is not showing up correctly- by Annie DeYoung, if I got the ordering right. And what's with this virtual applause, I thought we were sticking with Johnnie Walker (or some variant that better suits your taste).
Thanks Solla! I'm quite proud of Princess Protection Program - 'preciate that.
And yes that b.s. applause was rather drab of me.
JW will do; though I'd prefer either JB or JD.
Wisewoman has just written her 300th review(!!!) - and yet another exceptional piece of writing on a lesser known Bronte novel. I'm pretty sure that WW has written more
reviews of books than most people her age have even read.
http://www.librarything.com/work/3113/re...Thanks Solla ( applauding wildly ) for the Jhonnie walker suggestion !
Three hurrah's for Solla !!!
hurrah
hurrah
hurrah
What about WW, Macucu clock!
WW1 or WW2 ?
I'm about to go WW3 on you!
weight watchers ?
Weight watchers indeed! WATCH me tie some WEIGHTS to your ankles and toss you in the English Channel or Baltic Sea or whatever Sea laps on the shores of Belgium!
LOL ... if the sea was full of whiskey and I was a duck, I would stay on the bottom and never come up
Do forgive us Martin for failing to notice your recent 400th review. You just mentioned your 401st in another thread and I thought, uh-oh, better go make amends quick!
Here's Martin's 400th (a rather provocative one, to boot):
http://www.librarything.com/work/1765935Hey, no worries, 'rique. It's a bit personal, that one, and I don't know whether it'll float everybody's boat or just lead to awkward silences, but it was a worthwhile process writing it.
Congrats Solla and Wisewoman!
