The Other Boleyn Girl was really interesting. I couldn't believe Mary was married so young, but I guess that's how it used to be (and in some places, still is I'm sure). The lengths the Boleyn's went to for rising in society was truly shocking. I'm really happy things are different, that women's voices can be much better heard today. I couldn't read this book without thinking about my family because we trace back to Henry VIII. I know it's pin-pointed in books that my family has somewhere, but until I see it, I'll wonder what the exact connection was.
I'll let you know what I think of The Book Thief once I've read it. So far I've heard that it's a sad but good book. I'll probably have finished it by the start of March.
I've only read three books by Jane Austen so far, which I liked in this order of preference: Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, and Northanger Abbey. She has six books (it's debated there are more) but I've heard that P&P and S&S are her best. If you like her books, there's a Jane Austen group here.
I see one of your favorite authors is Patricia Cornwell. One of my sisters has been trying to get me to read a book by her for ages.

Actually the Diana books (& Cliff Richard) are my wife's particular interest, I will pass your comment on.
