Om mig I started amassing books when I was about 9. I think my first books were Paddington and Edgar Eager's books. I have to admit that I love British authors best, even though I know that's hopelessly out of date. I have read more globally, but I often find that non-english books that make it into translation have a "message" that involves depressing topics. I prefer to get that sort of information from news sources, not from novels. I'm an escapist reader.
Om mit bibliotek I hesitate to use the word "collection" to refer to my books, because I'm rather indescriminate. If I have first editions, it's only by accident. I just like to be surrounded by books and I tend to choose the least expensive or most interesting-looking copies from used-book stores, rather than "collectible" copies.
