Re: ON grammar. As I looked at it, I suspected it might be JUST grammar, particularly at that price, and without exercises and reading selections would not work at all for self-teaching, which is what he's trying to do. He has a truly ancient text which sounds like a precursor of Gordon, with text, glossary, and some grammar, which someone downloaded from the web, as I understand it. I looked it up and the description indicates as much, at least. My learning text, and in a class at that, was Cathay/Valfells, which had lots of exercises, but is only available nowadays used at a really exorbitant price. We used Gordon for reading practice. He'll just have to make do with what he has. Thanks for the info anyway.
My tag watch notes you posted a new(? at least to me) Old Norse Grammar. Is this one could use to learn ON? I know someone who is trying to do this with one that makes Gordon look modern. I learned it with Cathay-Valfells in a class decades ago, and think it might be possible with that one, but it's long out of print and used copies are much too expensive for him anyway.
