This is what happens when you live near many good used book stores - no matter how many cities you've lived in. Not to mention several fine public libraries that have ongoing used book sales.

And does anyone remember the annual Vassar Book Sale in Washington DC? The gigantic one held in one of the State Buildings on Constitution Ave?

Library sales are so dangerous. My local has been having an ongoing 10 cent sale for a year now. I think you'll like it.
Just thought I'd say hi as we're the only 2 people on LT with Song for a Dark Queen.
Well, I didn't quite make your total, but I believe that I now have my entire library of books (which are currently being stored in my parents' attic) entered into LibraryThing. Hope your summer has been going well!
LOLOLOLOL! You are too funny. You won't see the full extent of my library until after the summer is over as most of my books are at my parents' house in New Jersey and I won't get there for any period of time until July!
1,503 books??? OMG!
Thanks for the add! Your collection's most admirable.
awesome collection!
Hah HAH! You are my friend now! Our bookshelves dance with joy!
One of the great disappointments of my childhood is not getting to play Alice in a school play, dispite the fact that I had the longest blond hair out of anyone in the class. Poor me!
I like your avatar on here. Is he saying "But we're all mad here, Alice?"

Probably not, because I got the quote wrong.
We appear to love many of the same things :) Who is Paul Durcan and which collection should I start off with?
Wow, over 1,000 books! You have great taste in reading.

Jeff
hey, now we share WAY more than 1 book :D
Yay!

What does it mean by 32 books and 34 works? *confused*
Exactly! :D
We obviously have awesome taste.
We have excellent taste in books!
*waves back* Yay for shared good taste in books!
Every couple of years, I tell my sales reps from various publishing houses that they really should reprint Mr. Pudgins. So far, no luck. I should shop that idea around again. Wouldn't you get a copy? I would! Thanks for your comment.

Elizabeth (Whangdoodle)
That was one of my favorite books as a kid. Still is actually, and I still think the chapter on girls with bathing caps makes a good point.

I only have owned my copy a few years, when I decided to see if it was still in print (it is!)
