Om mig Lurker.

Om mit bibliotek Lots of sf and fantasy.
I've decided well-written characters are more important than plot. I think this has pulled me more towards the fantasy side of the spectrum for now. Plus I like to read about empowered women. Favorite lesser known authors include Walter Hunt, C. Dale Britain, Pat Murphy, P.C. Hodgell. For SF conventions, I usually hit the Boston trifecta with Arisia, Boskone, and Readercon. Most of my autographed books were obtained at conventions. (I use 'signed' for books that I bought pre-signed.)

Other interests include curling, quilting, tai chi.

Thanks so much! I'm ridiculously excited about it. I booked my plane tickets to Austin for the awards ceremony pretty much the instant that I heard about the Norton nomination. :)

Great to see you at Boskone. Hope to see you again at a future con.

Best wishes,
Sarah
Sorry about the slow response. I don't look at my comments too often. No there are no ISBNs on older Holt Rinehart and Winston Peanuts books, but there are Library of Congress catalog numbers. Most of them should work with title, but the first book "Peanuts" might be hard.
The sf boxes will go to Sandwich Library. I'll let you know when I get around to hauling them down from the attic. I'm not surprised that we share Day Hikes on Cape Cod or C.S. Lewis, but what are you doing with Totto-chan? Are you interested in Japan?
Thanks for the flower complement. I've been beading off and on for years. I use Artistic or Parawire wire for the French-beaded flowers. I've never tried quilting and only knitted a bit, but I am knitting beaded amulets bags (in my free time). It is interesting knitting with the tiny needles.

I don't really remember it was quite a few years ago, I think I just ran across a review of God Stalk and decided to seek it out. I'm always glad to find others who like her books though, gives me hope for the odds of rest of the series getting published.
You mentioned P. C. Hodgell in your info which makes me wonder if you have had a chance to read her newest book "To Ride a Rathorn" yet? It's very good. I was just wandering 'round your collection and thought I would ask. Hope you don't mind the question.
Cheers
It's actually a bit of both. I don't have sufficient space to keep all my books in sight so for the most part they are stored up to three rows deep on a shelf and I use the tag "tier 1" to denote books that are stored in the more accessible and visible spaces on the shelves, since I reread my books fairly frequently those are the books I like best and am most likely to want. Opinion and location in one tag. Eventually I intend to categorize the other "tiers" that would include the books in the closet, under the bed and in other inaccessible places. Tagging them as a tier type works better for me than tagging books with a specific location since they tend to move around fairly frequently.
