Om mig I'm a journalist, former Borders wage-slave. I like to read a lot of different things, and am now trying to expand my horizons. I'd like to be something of a renaissance woman. Just ... a weird renaissance woman whose interests include classical books, Judaism, comic books, politics, feminism and the satanic ritual abuse scandals (even if I haven't read any books on the last one, yet).

Om mit bibliotek My library only contains books that I own and am planning to keep (or haven't read yet). Life is too short to cart around bad books, and while I see the appeal of keeping track of read-only books, I honestly can't remember everything I've read my whole life. Still, I pretty much only give away books I dislike and can see no value in keeping (i.e. they're not part of a series I otherwise like), so there you go.

General things I would like to add to my library: more books related to The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, more Charles Dickens, more Animorphs, more Chaim Potok, Russian literature as translated by Richard Pevear and Larissa Volokhonsky, a collection of The 1,001 Nights/Arabian Nights, more pulp-tastic stories of mystical women who kill things, more books on Judaism, more books on journalism, more books on feminism, more classic sci-fi/fantasy, more comic books and some books on the satanic ritual abuse scandal, of course.

I found a place to start reading H.P. Lovecraft. I think I'll be able to get a lot more jokes now.

Hi
I note your library contains the book 1 Dead in Attic by Chris Rose. I am a publications adviser at Lehigh University and recently took yearbook students for a workshop in New Orleans. While there, we took a three hour tour of the areas hardest hit by hurricane Katrina. I finished 1 Dead in Attic last evening. I'm interested in knowing your impressions of the book. Thanks
