Om migHmm...well, I think most people find me a little odd, a lot quiet, and desperately in need of a life. LOL! ;-)
Om mit bibliotekHmm, okay, where to start...This is my collection. YES...I really do own all of these items in some size, shape or form. A few are "Wishlist" items, but not many. I've also worked really hard to make sure everything has a cover, so if you see something I've missed just drop me a line and let me know. Right now I'm working on "de-fuzzy-fying" all the covers that got messed up the last time LibraryThing upgraded them. Hopefully those will all be done soon. :)
My next big project will be hand-adding my pencil board/shitajiki collection. I know they're not books...but this is the best cataloging site I've EVER found and I really want to get them cataloged because I'm starting to buy duplicates of things *blushes* Apologies in advance to anyone who thinks I shouldn't have them here, but if you can find me a better online avenue for cataloging them I'll be more than happy to listen to your recommendations. :)
Hope you enjoy browsing through my collection!

... All right, maybe a part of it is sheer impatience, too.
See The President's Time is one of your recent additions. Read it and loved it for the sheer level of crack, although I've been told it may not be your cuppa if you prefer serious stuff.

There is no greater treasure than an understanding friend,
who's there in times of trouble and on whom we can depend.
A friend who knows our every mood and brightens cloudy days,
one who's slow to criticize but quick to praise.
One who shares our happy times and gives them added worth,
who adds a touch of heaven to all our days on earth.
There is no greater treasure than a friend who always cares,
one who will always remember us every day throughout the year.

Also: over three-thousand books tagged as 'Unread'? Either your self-control is far better than mine, or you er buy too many books? (No, wait, that's impossible; one can never have too many things to read.)
Delighted to make your acquaintance!

I noticed that you've added several of the Princess Ai books recently. How do you like them? I read the first volume of the series a couple of years ago and didn't really care for it; the plot seemed rather weak. Does it improve in subsequent volumes? I think that at the time I was also quite disappointed that Ai Yazawa wasn't the illustrator, as advertisements had led me to believe, so I may not have been as fair to the series as I could have.

Look at all the books we have in common! :D It's actually not that many, we haven't gotten to the fiction or manga section yet, not really. I've just entered a few random fiction books that we either bought on our visit, or were on the wrong shelves away from their kindred. Hopefully we'll get to enter the next section of our library this weekend! It's a fun project for us, and we're going to organize our books after this, instead of it just being random book in random location, however they came out of their boxes in the move...

As for tagging, I have already numerous books differently by mistake. I usually try to double check (just another reason by book entry is going slowly), but I have still missed some. I am trying to keep my tags broad in scope as so I can find all similar books easily. That is why I decided to use a one tag, Fables-Legends-Myths-Tales, instead of four separate tags. It also makes it much easier for me to tag the books! :-)
Besides the Folio Society, I tag several other small publishers that I own a number of books from (i.e., McFarland, NESFA Press) so I can easily see if I own a book from them before buying it. I have already bought two duplicates from McFarland in the past because I did not remember buying the books previously. You may be interested in joining the Folio Society devotees group. Not a lot of activity, but I have found it worthwhile.
I have combined The Complete Fairy Tales of Charles Perrault with Perrault's Fairy Tales. I almost added it using the title on the cover, but then I double-checked on title page. I really wish publishers would not use a one title on the cover and another on the title page.

You mentioned the Folio Society so I looked to see what FS books you have in your library. I first looked at your tags to see if you had a Folio Society tag and did not see one, but I did notice you had a Folk Tales (1) tag and a Folktales (71) tag, as well as a Folklore (5) tag. I know I have accidentally created multiple similar tags and thought I would let you know in case you did not do it on purpose.
Back to your Folio Society books, I see that you have Perrault's Fairy Tales. I also have it, but I entered it using the title on the title page, The Complete Fairy Tales of Charles Perrault. There are FS editions under both titles and from the other book covers it appears that they are the same. Do you agree that they should be combined?
I also see you have the FS edition of the Greek Myths. Is there a reason you did not list Robert Graves as the author? It seems that these are considered his versions of the myths. If you make him the author then your work will combine with the rest, or it can be combined manually if you do not want to make him the author of your book.

I noticed that you combined a few books that have volume I or volume II as part of the title. Did you intend to combine them? I am of the opinion that individual volumes of a work should not be combined with the complete work, but I know that there is disagreement on the issue.
